You must be doing something right when your staff vote for your business as one of the best places to work in the country.
Every year an employee satisfaction survey is taken throughout New Zealand and bosses at Obex Medical Ltd have the gratification of being included in the top 20 best places to work.
The company, based in Auckland and employing 32 people, won third place overall in the Unlimited/JRA Best Places to Work Survey for 2004.
After a year out of the competition they are hoping for a similar, or even better, result this year.
Employees are asked to complete a confidential survey about their workplace and the companies receive feedback to help them keep on improving.
It was a feather in the cap for Obex, which prides itself on the service it provides to its clients in the medical industry.
Obex helps medical professionals by supplying innovative, world class medical technology and services that are crucial in the diagnosis and treatment of countless patients. Its aim is to empower every New Zealander with the best opportunity to restore, enhance and optimise their health.
Financial manager Chris Iles said: "It was very nice to be recognised in the Best Places to Work Survey.
"It showed that we were looking after our staff as well as providing a first class service for our clients."
