A former Phoenix consultant, who many clients may remember, has driven off in a new direction by launching a unique car buying service for women.
Jonathan Leonard has set up
Women on Wheels to help people without the time or expertise to buy their next car.
It is a consultancy, rather than a retail-based approach to car sales, which builds on the consultancy training Jonathan developed during his time at Phoenix.
The idea is that the client explains their needs and expectations from a car to one of the Women on Wheels’ female consultants, who then does all the donkey work. The WOW consultants are car industry professionals and understand the problems women sometimes face when buying a car.
Jonathan said: "Many people do not want to spend their weekends trudging around car yards. Women in particular often feel awkward in a male-dominated industry and worry that they are being ripped off.
"Our personal consultant visits them to find out their needs, then has the pick of any imported vehicle in the country.
"We don’t have cars to sell to people, we find the car they want. That means our advice is completely unbiased and we get the best deal possible."
Women on Wheels has access to thousands of new and used vehicles. The consultant will appraise those that meet exactly the client’s budget and requirements, then come back with recommendations.
From there, test drives are arranged and once the client is happy Women on Wheels will have the chosen car professionally valeted, mechanically inspected and delivered to their door.
The company can pre-approve finance, arrange the car’s warranty and help with insurance.
