Postural Help for Desk-bound Staff

A team of chiropractors can help corporate people in Auckland cope with the postural issues and problems relating to busy lives and desk-bound jobs.

Advanced Spine & Joint Clinic, based at 43 High St, first opened its doors in 1997 and is now well established as one of the busiest practices in the city.

For the past decade it has provided chiropractic services to people living and working in the city.

The majority of its clients are from the corporate world, who need help with ergonomics and postural matters.

Headaches, stiff and tight necks and shoulders, low back pain and overuse symptoms are some of the most common complaints addressed by the clinic.

The chiropractors also have a great interest in sports and human performances and about 25% of the patients are sports elite and professional athletes.

The clinic is a key provider of chiropractic services to the NZ Academy of Sports and has been heavily involved in the past two New Zealand based America’s Cup Challenges.

Chiropractor Dr Mia Gamble said: "However you don’t have to be a top athlete to come and see us here.

"High achieving corporates have also received chiropractic care to increase their wellbeing, reduce bouts of stress and tension and prevent injuries.

"People report back to us with less time off work due to sickness and the ability to deal with increasing stress loads."

The clinic’s motto is "Keeping Active People Active" and that is what they strive to do.
